After a recent automated reminder, I see that I still have two domain names related to webOS
I'm inclined to let them go. I think I've brought this up before and webOS-ports get first refusal on webOS Center. The other is up for grabs. I'll prioritise webOS projects, interested individuals or just allow them to expire.
For clarity: I'm not selling anything here. I'm just offering to transfer these domains and/or giving notice of expiry. The registrant service provider you choose will likely charge you for the right to use the domain. I have transferred a domain in the past. I don't recall it being particularly difficult, though the recipient did open an account with the same provider I think. Transferring simply avoids the risk of someone grabbing an expired domain before you do, but you can always wait for expiry - there's little reason to think there will be much interest in these domains.
Having started this thread, we may as well use it to track webOS related domains and discuss whether or not to acquire any that are available and for what purpose. I'll edit and update this post from time to time and as members post alerts below.
Palm.com is obviously the "holy grail" hereā¦ It expires on 2024-09-17, but don't hold your breath. Mobile tech aside, it's a name that could be applied to other industries. If the current incarnation of Palm goes under, I imagine the domain is still owned by (large corporation) TCL, who will view it as an asset of value and will likely want a high price if they decide to sell.
I'm checking via https://www.whois.com/whois/ and you can too!
