Many moons ago, back on the old forum someone had warned about trying to use a nano SIM in the Pre just stuck back into one of those triple punchout frames, or using a low quality adapter because the spring on the contacts will push the nano SIM out of the frame and then when you try to remove it the frame will get stuck on the contacts and bend them.
They recommended getting a high quality SIM adapter from Sadapter, and I left the tab open because I figured it might be useful at some point.
Many years later as I started to evaluate replacement phones for the eventually death of 2G (and my carrier has given me a triple punch SIM after my original mini SIM of 15 years finally bit the dust) I went back to the saved tab and lo and behold the company has bit the dust. But at least with the URL I could try to track down another seller of them. They're not super prevalent, but here's a link to the one I ordered on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009H6WJ8O?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details (Sadapter SADAPTER4FFTO2FFBLK Nano SIM to Full SIM Card Adapter). It's a pretty good design, it's worked well for me so far in the Pre. The "retaining supports" for the nano SIM are on top so the springs on the contacts push up against them so the nano SIM won't get pushed out of the adapter. Maybe there are other good options, but it was helpful to see on the old forum and the original poster seemed to think it was the best option, so I'm documenting it here for future reference!
