I proposed this last year on Discord and nothing much came of it though we did officially launch this forum.
Perhaps there will be some interest this year for a date around the 6th of Juneā¦? (it's a Thursday this year, so maybe 8th-9th?).
It seems that the small and scattered nature of the community will make it unlikely that we could have a large-scale in person meet up for the foreseeable future.
Online options would be to have a rolling "live" conference recorded so members can present and view at times convenient to them and if there are Q&A sessions, perhaps extend them over a period after, using a forum thread or edit from the chat. Or alternatively, we follow the webOS User Group model of having a live online meeting covering most American and European timezones. No one ever took up the option of a "second shift" covering Asia-Pacific zones, but it always remains an option.
Obvious topics are
* Legacy webOS devices since the HP closure - maintaining, updating, using. Also the future with aged security and the end of the 3G signal.
* LuneOS and other open-source projects - OSE at the moment.
* Current commercial products, mainly from LG and mainly TVs I think. Using, Hacking, Developing.
