Seeing that Claude Code seems to offer us some new possibilities to bring life back to our good old TouchPads it might be a good idea to create a "super Doctor" that incorporates all the fixes vs 100's of patches that are flying around.
So let's make a "wish"-list here to see what should be included.
- Bypass First Use
- Enable dev mode by default
- Add hosts file on device to restore some of the palm server calls (ie help files etc?)
- Preware incl. alpha/beta feeds
- App Museum II
- Cleanup of no longer working HP Apps (Store etc)
- Updated root certs (December 2025, Mozilla version).
- Updated OpenSSL to version 3.6.0 where possible.
- Updated curl to latest version.
- Various shims and patches to get browser to behave with newer OpenSSL so we can get possible TLS 1.3 support.
- NTP time sync fix.
