Back in 2011-2014, a crew of folks borrowed other people's code, added some of their own bits, borrowed a bit more, then got Android apps running on HP's webOS TouchPad -- for a fee.
After they disbanded, the community took back what was theirs, with an activation-patch.

Well its 2026, so I figured it was time to put it all together. I give you the Android Compatibility Layer - Revival Edition:

I've populated the ACL's AppMall with a selection of vintage Android apps reported to work with Gingerbread. I've tried a good chunk and most work -- VLC and Google Maps are a treat
